The Chief's Choice, penned by J.R. Mathis and Susan Mathis, is yet another gem in the cherished Father Tom and Helen collection. These stories are crafted so skillfully, with characters that are richly developed, allowing us to discover more with every new installment. The storyline is cleverly constructed, as always! It's a wonderful read!!

From the standpoint of a reader, BookBub offers a fantastic deal. However, if you look at it from an author's perspective, it feels like a scam. Unless you're the kind of writer who throws together an ebook in a month, this platform can be a gold mine for offloading your work onto unsuspecting readers for just 99 cents. But for those talented authors who dedicate years to crafting their books, BookBub seems to expect you to give away your hard-earned work for nothing. If you're a skilled writer, it's probably best to steer clear of this site for selling your books. It's just not worth it.

I found this book tough to set aside. The characters and plot really grabbed me. Chloe and Parker are perfect together. I give this one a solid 5 stars. Big thanks to Karen Booth for such a fantastic read. Can't wait to dive into the other books in this trilogy!

I've had a good time checking out a bunch of the books I 'purchase'. Some are really great, while others, not so much. BUT NOW, I’ve noticed that the daily emails with various book options have stopped coming. Not sure what happened there. Elaine

Our local group began utilizing Sword Fighting (by Christine Dillon) for our discussions, and we discovered the subjects to be quite pertinent and helpful. This is a book I’d definitely suggest.

For authors, this is a total nightmare if you want to keep your data under your own control! There’s absolutely no way to cancel the mandatory payment storage, and even if you try to delete your account, the saved data sticks around. With GDPR being so strict in the EU, it seems like this site just doesn’t give a hoot about it!

I found this exciting tale quite engaging, as there’s a ton going on and I just couldn’t put it down. Eloise and Stanley have faced a lot together. The surprise for Eloise when she returned to her hometown and the way Stanley's family treated her was quite something. Now, her buddy from back home shows up with some shocking news. What could it be? I gotta grab book 3 to see what happens next.

I got an ARC of this book and I'm sharing my thoughts voluntarily.

I really dig the concept of Bookbub, but it feels like most of the selections are aimed at folks who love romance novels. When I signed up, I picked my preferred genres carefully, making sure to skip romance and anything similar. Yet, when I get my daily or weekly deals, it’s like I’m drowning in romance titles. Plus, there’s a noticeable lack of books featuring male leads. The platform definitely skews towards female readers. It’d be awesome to see a better balance. All in all, I still think it’s a solid service with some fantastic deals. Just wish it aligned a bit more with the genres I selected initially.

This is the second installment in a series penned by Carrie Turansky. The initial book, "No Ocean Too Wide," familiarizes us with the McAlister clan. Following their father's passing, their mother falls ill, leading to three of the kids being sent to Canada via the British home child immigration program. The narrative explores their struggle to reunite the family back in England. Readers will learn about the real history of the resilience and bravery of these countless children from Canada and Britain. It's a wonderful tale! Big thanks to Carrie for sharing a story that resonates with my own grandmother's experiences.

I'm really thankful for the selection of books that match my interests and requirements. Plus, I enjoy the ones that are just plain fun and a joy to dive into!
